From After cancer, now what

People have told me I’m “brave” for writing this blog, and I’ve been told how “brave” I was during my treatment.nbsp; It is interesting to me how we define brave. Most of the time I think it is an acknowledgement of someone doing something we either don’t think we could do or just honestly, don’t want to /

I’ve been contacted by a reader, Maayan Gordon, who is involved in the Team In Training program. For those of you who don’t know, Team in Training conditionsnbsp;athletes to run ornbsp;walk a full or half marathon, nbsp;nbsp;complete a 100-mile bicycle ride, or triathlonnbsp;in honor or memory of blood cancer patients and survivors. To someone who would rather read or blog that’s courage, not to mention the chutzpah it takes to contact someone out of the blue!br /

Anyway, Maayan I don’t know how many people will help you out but you’re brave in my book. If you want to help support Maayan and the Leukemia and Lymphoma program you can give a few dollars to help sponsor Maayan. For more information about Team in Training you can a href=””visit their page/a and if any of you decide to participate in one of these please let me know and I’ll put you up on the blog. Who knows, maybe we can help raise some cash for you too.div class=”blogger-post-footer”img width=’1′ height=’1′ src=’’ alt=” //div
