On March 3, 2009 Peter Tork announced that he had been diagnosed with adenoid cyctic carcinoma. The initial report was that Tork had surgery and that the cancer had not spread past its initial site, on his tongue of all places. He had radiation and all looked /

Unfortunately in June it was reported that the cancer had reoccurred and he had had more radiation. He has performances scheduled for next month and is working to raise funds for rare cancers.
