From After cancer, now what

Good thing too! You may remember I’ve written in the past that I have problems with word recall. The luxury of blogging is that I can take my time to find exactly the word I am looking for. That’s not how it works when you’re trying out for Jeopardy.br /
br /
Here’s how it goes. You sign in to the test site at your predetermined time and then wait until it is time to start the test.br /
br /
Once the test starts every 15 seconds the screen will change. You read the category and question and answer the question in 15 seconds for a total of 50 questions. Now remember I have problems with word recall.nbsp; GO!br /
br /
It was absolutely awful. There were a couple of questions that I automatically knew the answer to. There were some questions that after thinking for a second or two I came up with the answer. There were also a few questions that I had no idea about.br /
br /
Then there were what I like to call the recall questions. A recall question is when you remember the answer to question 4 when you’re on question 7. But you can’t go back and now the space in your brain that should be dedicated to question 7 is stuck on question 4. br /
br /
The only answers I remember from the whole test? Lady Gaga, Phillip Roth and iGlee/ibr /
br /
I’m sure that I got some other questions right but thankfully they do not share your score with you. In fact you don’t know if you have passed or failed unless you hear from someone affiliated with the show to schedule an in person interview. I don’t think that’s going to happen.br /
br /
My darling husband (who actually has had a couple of the in person interviews) apologized for encouraging me. I told him, and I will tell all of you, don’t ever apologize for encouraging me to try something new. I suffered no harm from doing this and challenged myself to try something new. Not only should you continue to encourage me but you should try it yourself!br /
br /
My sister, ever my cheerleader responded very differently; “You should go on The Singing Bee, that would be better for you anyway.”nbsp; Love you kiddo!br /
br /
So Jeopardy perhaps in my next life. Was it chemobrain or menopause or does this happen to lots of contestants? I’ll never know.div class=”blogger-post-footer”img width=’1′ height=’1′ src=’https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/4713736175601908568-4676106034426776536?l=www.aftercancernowwhat.com’ alt=” //div
