God Never BlinksAfter Cancer - Now What? — By KateBurton on October 16, 2010 at 4:11 pm
When I started reading God Never Blinks – 50 Lessons for Life’s Little Detours I didn’t realize that I had already read part of this book. As it turns out lots of you have as well.
Regina Brett wrote a column like she has been doing three times a week for eight years for the iCleveland Plain Dealer /iwhen she turned 45 about the 45 lessons life had taught her.
Then at age 50 she added five more and the paper published the 50 Lessons she had learned in her life. The column took on a life of its own. It was e-mailed to thousands and thousands of people. It showed up in church sermons and office walls and more.
The book reminds me of All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten, nbsp; but not quite as sappy.nbsp; With chapters like Forgive Everyone Everything and What Other People Think of You is None of Your Business she sends many of the same sentiments and lessons without talking to me like I’m a five year old.
This would make a great gift book for the people in your life who are stressed out. With some good lessons on perspective and whether any of the current crises will matter in five years all you need to do is get them to read and listen.nbsp; I’m not sure that I would give this to my favorite teenager but just about anyone else will find something to relate to.
Of course it is available at a href=”http://www.amazon.com/God-Never-Blinks-Lessons-Detours
