From After cancer, now what
If you’re one of my readers in Los Angeles you might want to check out The Million Dollar Revival a benefit for Fran Dreschers’ Cancer Schmanser movement.br /br /The event includes performances by Jackson Browne, Olivia Newton-John, The Bird and The Bee, Beth Neilsen Chapman and more and unlike most of the benefits I’ve seen ticket prices are accessible. Seats range from $30 dollars for general admission to $100 dollars which includes an afterparty.br /br /Cancer Schmanser is a different type of cancer organization because their mission is not to find the cure for cancer but instead educate women, make them into informed medical consumers and change the priority from just looking for the cure to prevention and early detection. With a philosophy that Stage I is the cure it’s clearly a different angle.br /br /The group runs Fran Vans which provide cancer screenings to women who have limited access to care right in their own neighborhoods.br /br /I’m on the other side of the country so if any of you go PLEASE report back to all of us.div class=”blogger-post-footer”img width=’1′ height=’1′ src=’https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/4713736175601908568-3178689943800095970?l=www.aftercancernowwhat.com’ alt=” //div
